The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations. This role focuses on minimizing equipment downtime, supporting product quality, and improving overall equipment performance through preventive maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
Conduct routine inspections and specialized checks to identify potential equipment issues before they lead to failures.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to restore production operations as quickly as possible.
Support quality improvement by investigating equipment-related defects and ensuring products meet required specifications and compliance standards.
Respond immediately to equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs to minimize production disruptions.
Develop and maintain spare parts inventory and management plans to ensure critical components are readily available.
Monitor equipment performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
Assist in analyzing equipment downtime and recommend solutions to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to production technicians to strengthen their maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and documentation.
Follow all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior.
Requirements
Education
Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field.
