The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of UK accounting and bookkeeping experience, with expertise in Xero and Excel. The role involves managing the end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping for approximately 25 unique clients monthly, demonstrating leadership, client management skills, and a proactive approach. Experience in an accounting or bookkeeping firm, Xero certification, and CPA qualifications are strong advantages. </p><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong> </h2><ol><li><strong>End-to-End Accounting and Bookkeeping: </strong><ul><li>Handle all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting for clients, including: </li><ul><li>Recording financial transactions. </li><li>Managing accounts payable and receivable. </li><li>Performing bank reconciliations. </li><li>Preparing VAT returns and submitting them in compliance with HMRC requirements. </li> </ul><li>Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. </li> </ul> </li><li><strong>Client Management: </strong><ul><li>Act as the primary point of contact for approximately 25 unique clients each month. </li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships, addressing queries and providing expert advice. </li><li>Proactively communicate with clients to gather necessary documents and ensure deadlines are met. </li> </ul> </li><li><strong>Software Expertise: </strong><ul><li>Leverage advanced knowledge of Xero and Excel to optimize accounting workflows. </li><li>Assist clients in understanding and utilizing Xero for their financial management. </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve Xero-related issues. </li> </ul> </li><li><strong>Team Leadership and Development: </strong><ul><li>Demonstrate leadership by mentoring junior team members (if applicable). </li><li>Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive process improvements and ensure high-quality service delivery. </li> </ul> </li><li><strong>Compliance and Standards: </strong><ul><li>Ensure all client accounts are in compliance with UK accounting regulations and standards. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK tax laws and accounting practices. </li> </ul> </li><li><strong>Continuous Improvement: </strong><ul><li>Identify opportunities to improve accounting and bookkeeping processes. </li><li>Stay current with industry trends and tools to provide innovative solutions to clients. </li> </ul> </li> </ol><h2><strong>Qualifications and Skills </strong> </h2><ul><li><strong>Experience: </strong><ul><li>3-5 years of UK accounting and bookkeeping experience. </li><li>Previous experience working in an accounting or bookkeeping firm. </li> </ul> </li><li><strong>Technical Skills: </strong><ul><li>Expert-level proficiency in Xero (Xero certification is a plus). </li><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, etc.). </li><li>Familiarity with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations. </li> </ul> </li><li><strong>Certifications: </strong><ul><li>CPA qualification is a strong advantage. </li> </ul> </li><li><strong>Soft Skills: </strong><ul><li>Exceptional organizational and time management skills. </li><li>Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Proactive and eager to take initiative in client management and problem-solving. </li> </ul> </li> </ul> #J-18808-Ljbffr
