Manager - Production Sign In New York, NY More (-9) Apply Apply with LinkedIn View Application More (-9) Job Description The Production Manager will lead the post-production and administrative efforts of the IFC Brand Marketing Department, working closely with the Production Director. This role requires a proactive manager with excellent personnel management, communication, client relationship and budgetary skills. They will act as the primary contact for incoming production requests, actively reporting status updates to all stakeholders. They will oversee the post-production of multiple concurrent projects for the network, with a strategic eye towards maximum efficiency. Manager also is responsible for onboarding new freelancers, contractors, and vendors, submitting paperwork for corporate compliance, and processing information for contracts and accrual purposes when required. In addition, the manager will be responsible for the daily implementation of the annual budget, tracking external project expenses, and providing timely and detailed financial reporting and cost estimates for involved business units. The manager will serve as the day-to-day liaison between the Brand Marketing Department with the Traffic, Operations and Marketing departments for all video production requests. This person will be directly responsible for the daily production/operation tasks necessary to produce the departments on and off-air deliverables. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Act as leader for IFC Post Production at 11 Penn, effectively running the IFC post workflow. Enforcing that all department members adhere to standard operation procedures to ensure the most efficient use of time and resources. Act as main contact for vendors and Independent Contractors utilizing 11 Penn Post Facility on behalf of IFC. Plan the departmental edit schedules, strategically forecasting and addressing future editorial needs with Production Directors approval. Also act as point person to dynamically prioritize and shift edit and mix resources as needed. Act as primary manager for all Network promo and marketing related production including production plan, schedule, budget and project assigning. Plan, schedule and book all outside freelance and vendor support staff with approval from director. Oversee, maintain and provide weekly updates on the annual, monthly and per project budgets with the Production Director. Responsible for inputting daily budget information, including coding invoices and editor timesheets. Organize invoices and charges for monthly accrual process . Collecting and tracking production expenditures on marketing projects. Oversee various marketing requests, working closely with marketing team to ensure that requests are addressed in a timely and professional manner. Produce estimated budget and timeline for marketing projects and actively communicate and enforce deadlines with assigned producer/vendor. Manage the approval process and ensure deadlines are met and projects are delivered on time and in budget. Direct production oversight includes (and are not limited to) monthly on-air promotions, marketing assignments, and affiliate reels. Oversight of and production planning of all monthly brand movie promotion. Oversee the acquisition and distribution of footage and materials required for projects. Represent Brand Marketing at meetings, and clearly communicate assignments and projects for the given month, as well as attend marketing project status and creative meetings. Oversee efficient distribution of produced media to all services, including On Air, Digital and all Alt Platforms. Work with Media Manager and partners to ensure projects are delivered with optimal specs, and traffic information is clearly communicated. Manage approvals and delivery of affiliate and marketing reels. Help implement new operation processes (like On Air Pro), manages team training to get all properly using new methods, and actively explores new operational procedures. QUALIFICATIONS Min 5 years of experience Technical experience Degree and Certifications Managerial experience Must have a proven ability to manage a dynamic in-house post-production environment.
