Lead market engagement strategies that prioritize labor relations education, coaching support and risk mitigation for assigned markets while building leader capabilities.
Ensure alignment with Starbucks’ Mission and Values in all labor relations activities.
Analyze business and partner experience data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
Cultivate relationships with union representatives and internal stakeholders to maintain positive partner relations.
Serve as a trusted advisor in all labor relations matters, proactively minimizing risks to the partner experience.
Facilitate strategic guidance and consultation on all labor relations issues across, retail, support and PRO teams.
Requirements:
Understanding of labor and human resources related laws and regulations including but not limited to the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), Title VII, ADA, ADAAA, ADEA, FMLA & state/local laws and ordinances
3-7 years of experience in Labor Relations, Human Resources, and/or Employee Relations
Demonstrated experience in effectively building collaborative and trusting partnerships with union counterparts
Experience integrating labor relations practices into business operations in a way that supports and enhances overall business operations
Has a sound understanding of employee relations practices
Ability to articulate perspective and influence via effective verbal and written communication skills to peers and leaders
Solid technical business writing skills
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Experience in solving complex opportunities
Facilitate training courses and lead meetings
Proficient in technology and use of case management systems. For example: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and project management systems.
