Following an exciting service restructure, we are looking for an experienced Senior Auditor who can strengthen our established and highly skilled team. In this role, you'll play a central part in delivering high‑quality audit services to the Council and a diverse portfolio of valued external clients, across a wide range of diverse and strategically important areas.
As a Senior Auditor, you will:
- Deliver a portfolio of audits as part of the Services plan and produce comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.
- Supervise the work of less experienced auditors within the team.
- Provide expert advice on complex or contentious issues.
- Support high standards of governance by evaluating and improving risk management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and data specialists to develop innovative ways of working and best practice.
What we're looking for:
- A qualified experienced audit professional with full membership of a CCAB body or the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors.
- A detail-oriented and analytical professional with experience delivering high-quality, insightful audit work.
- A strong and confident communicator and collaborator who can engage effectively with stakeholders, contribute to audit planning, and present findings clearly both in writing and verbally.
