Blackpool GreenWave is an exciting new partnership across the town to transform the way our Green Spaces are planned, delivered and managed – helping nature thrive in the most-dense of urban settings and enabling our citizens to thrive from the benefits of access to nature on their doorstep.

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to lead on the delivery of Blackpool GreenWave, working with the project’s Accountable Body, Groundwork, and internal and external stakeholders. Blackpool Greenwave is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of Nature Towns and Cities. GreenWave has a vision to restore Blackpool as a healthy place to live – where our natural environment provides a framework to support the health of our citizens.

Based in the Council's Corporate Development Team and working with other Council services such as Parks and Open Spaces, Public Health, and Growth and Prosperity, but with an external focus on developing new relationships with private partners, you will manage our cross-sector partnership as it develops new innovative and sustainable ways of working. Co-ordinating with other Nature Towns and Cities projects across the country, you will contribute to maximising long-term external investment in Blackpool’s green space. whilst contributing to our climate adaptation and mitigation goals.

The successful candidate will possess strong communication and project management skills to effectively drive change and ensure the delivery of projects within agreed deadlines and work programmes.

Please contact Community Engagement and Partnerships Manager, Annie Heslop (annie.heslop@blackpool.gov.uk ) for an informal discussion in relation to the role.
