In this hands-on role, you will collect, analyze, and review evidence related to third-party utility damages to determine liability. This role is ideal for someone who thrives working independently and takes pride in delivering precise, professional results.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Perform on-site assessments of underground and aerial power and gas utility damages. </li><li>Conduct interviews at damage sites with contractors, technicians, witnesses, police, homeowners, etc. </li><li>Photograph and document the damaged scene to accurately portray and determine liability.</li><li>Analyze and review all evidence related to third-party utility damage for the purpose of determining a liable party.</li><li>Take precautions always to utilize safety protocols. </li><li>Understand and utilize State Dig Laws and Statutes, excavator requirements, and NESC standards.</li><li>Build and develop a professional working relationship with the client, their contractors, technicians, management team, and other personnel.</li><li>Assist the Claims Recovery team with follow-up actions after damage site reviews.</li><li>Other related duties as assigned.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Must possess a valid and current driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle suitable for representing the company, and auto insurance meeting both federal and state requirements, with minimum auto liability coverage of 100/300/100 for bodily injury and property damage.</li><li>Must be willing and able to utilize a personal vehicle for work-related travel as required.</li><li>Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word and comfortable using public or shared computer systems</li><li>Previous experience in investigations and/or law enforcement is highly desirable</li><li>Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills</li><li>Familiarity with the utility or utility locating industry</li><li>Background in business operations with a strong attention to detail</li><li>Proven ability to multitask and effectively manage time in a dynamic environment<br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.</li><li>Ability to drive a personal vehicle to various damage sites, including daytime and nighttime travel.</li><li>Ability to walk and work on uneven terrain and in varying weather conditions.</li><li>Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.</li><li>Ability to bend, stoop, or reach as necessary to perform essential job duties.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Compensation And Benefits<br><br></strong>We offer a competitive salary ($50,000 - $54,000) based on experience), plus overtime provided for any hours worked over 40 hours per week.
