In this role, you will work with multiple stakeholders, including executive leadership and various cross-functional departments to successfully manage the lifecycle of key initiatives that drive realization of the enterprise strategy. You will explore innovative cross-functional program and portfolio management approaches, lead or ensure the success of priority enterprise initiatives, and manage the overall portfolio of critical enterprise-wide initiatives to ensure high performance.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b><u>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</u></b></p><ul><li><b>Enterprise initiative portfolio approach and management</b> - Lead the development of an enterprise initiative portfolio management approach cascading from the strategic plan; build the portfolio of initiatives as identified by Executive leadership in enterprise strategy processes; track and manage the initiative portfolio, interfacing with initiative leaders and teams across the <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">enterprise.          </span> 20%</li><li><b>Enterprise initiative approach and management</b> - Lead or advise on initiative design, teaming, and implementation; lead complex enterprise-wide initiatives or serve in a strategic leadership role on initiative teams using best-in-market methods and principles such as project management, agile, lean, and change management / <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">enablement.   </span> 50%</li><li><b>Enterprise initiative success</b> <b>and performance</b> – Lead the development of overall initiative portfolio performance framework, cascading from organizational performance framework; lead or advise initiative teams to develop performance frameworks and cadences that ensure initiative success and connect directly to overall portfolio success; and work across the Enterprise Strategy Team to connect portfolio performance to the enterprise performance framework (e.g. Board or Executive Team scorecards) driving line of sight across the Executive team and Senior Leadership to both project and financial <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">performance.       </span> 20%</li><li><b>Flexible Strategy Consulting and Leadership</b> - As part of a flexible internal consulting function working across the enterprise, partner with entire Enterprise Strategy department to manage and prioritize requests and complete any other duties as assigned from <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">end-to-end.         </span> 10%</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:</span></u></b></p><ul><li>Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in relevant field</li><li>Preferred Degree: Master's Degree - MBA, MA in Nonprofit Management, or relevant advanced degree preferred.</li><li>Years of experience:  10</li><li>Driver’s License Requirement(s) [Included only if driving is part of the job duties]: None</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: </u></b></p><ul><li>10+ years of experience in nonprofit management, strategy, and/or project management, preferably in a health and human services nonprofit.</li><li>10+ years of collaborative leadership including engagement of senior and executive leaders</li><li>Strong knowledge of American Cancer Society programs, strategies and organizational infrastructure or equivalent experience operating in a complex environment in the nonprofit or for profit sector.</li><li>3+ years of experience in organizational performance, performance scorecards, balanced scorecard, KPI/OKR development, and metrics reporting; technical skill with data reporting and visualization tools highly desirable (e.g. PowerBI, Salesforce reporting).</li><li>3+ years of direct experience leading end-to-end complex enterprise-wide initiatives, including design, leadership, and change management; technical skill with project management tools highly desirable (e.g. MS Planner, Monday.com, PlanView).</li><li>3+ years of experience designing and facilitating meetings of 3-200+ attendees, crossing all levels of leadership.</li><li>Proven leadership experience such as building coalitions and leading through influence; ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:</u></b></p><ul><li>Limited Travel, up to 10%</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</u></b></p><ul><li>Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment</li><li>No or very limited physical effort required</li><li>No or very limited exposure to physical risk</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><span>The starting rate is $120,000 to $135,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended.
