<p><strong>ROLE: Zip Engineer</strong></p><p><strong>LOCATION: 100% Remote (US Local)</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Description</strong></p><p>We're seeking an experienced Software Engineer with over 5+ years of experience with workflow background to support the design and implementation of Zip (Intake to Contract) integrations and related backend systems. This contractor role is for a hands-on engineer who can work closely with Sourcing/Procurement and cross functional stakeholders to deliver scalable integration solutions and improve procurement related workflows.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, build, and support backend integrations for Zip (I2C) and related procurement workflows.</li><li>Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable integration solutions between Zip and internal enterprise systems.</li><li>Partner with technical, procurement, and cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and deliver effective solutions.</li><li>Analyze existing business processes, identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks, and recommend improvements through automation and systems integration.</li><li>Support end-to-end procurement and intake workflows, ensuring backend systems align with business requirements.</li><li>Translate functional and operational requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.</li><li>Troubleshoot integration issues, monitor system performance, and ensure reliability of data flows across platforms.</li><li>Contribute to documentation, testing, deployment, and handoff of solutions to internal teams.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Must have Experience with Zip Intake-to-Procure (I2C) implementations or integrations.</li><li>Strong experience in backend engineering and enterprise systems integration.</li><li>Proven experience building and supporting integrations for procurement, intake, or workflow platforms such as Zip, Coupa, SAP, Ariba, or similar enterprise tools.</li><li>Experience working with APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, and system-to-system integrations.</li><li>Strong understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P), intake, approval, and procurement workflows.</li><li>Ability to work across technical and business teams to define requirements and implement practical solutions.</li><li>Experience integrating with finance, ERP, procurement, warehouse, or planning systems is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze existing processes and recommend streamlined technical solutions.</li><li>Experience with data mapping, transformation, validation, and synchronization across systems.</li><li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Coupa, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar systems.</li><li>Experience supporting procurement, approval, vendor, purchasing, or invoice-related workflows.</li><li>Background in cloud-based integration patterns and modern backend architecture.</li></ul><p></p>
