Your New Role

The Warehouse Supervisor in the afternoon is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse during the afternoon shift. This includes supervising the receipt, inspection, storage, and dispatch of goods. Their role is vital in achieving the company's objectives related to customer satisfaction and food safety during the day shift, as they manage and organize these critical aspects of the warehouse operation.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Organise and manage the night of the warehouse team.
  • Unsure the communication between the warehouse team and the other departments, in order to sort any issue (returns, delivery issue, special request.
  • Receive deliveries as per the work instruction.
  • Inspect goods in order to ensure that packaging & products specifications are met.
  • Prepare sales orders, mark and label boxes
  • Obtain, move, sort and organise products in the warehouse.
  • Check temperature on suppliers’ deliveries
  • Check products against purchase orders: code, product description, size, number, packaging, quality and general aspect.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness, working to the “clean as you go” policy and following the cleaning procedures and instructions
  • Load or unload vans & trucks.
  • Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
  • Duly fill in production sheets so as to ensure product traceability.
  • You will carry out all duties the Management may request within the framework of your duties.
  • To attend HACCP review and meeting as required .

  • WMS booking and picking system
  • Rota planning
  • Peak planning

  • Handover experience
  • Computer literate (excel/word)

Expected hours: 40 per week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,531.00 per year
