Position: Warehouse Operative (Goods In)

Hours: 45 hours per week (exc breaks),

Shift Pattern: 7am -4.30pm Monday to Friday, however candidates may be required to work between the hours of 6am-7pm and occasional additional hours at weekends will be required for the needs of the business (for example stocktakes)

Salary: £12.33 per hour

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse operative to join our team. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for performing various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Main Duties include but are not limited to:

• Unloading containers and repacking
• Completing paperwork for delivery notes and stock control if requested
• Ensure all stock is wrapped and loaded properly in line with standards and procedures to avoid stock discrepancies and damages.
• Stock order picking, unloading/loading of deliveries
• Report any breakdowns/issues to the Manager.
• There is a significant amount of handballing in the role, so applicants must be able to undertake daily heavy lifting with manual handling training.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time

The Candidate - Skills & Experience required:

• Candidates must be able to work as a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good level of numeracy and literacy skills
• Previous warehouse work / drivers’ mate
• Good communication skills- written and verbal
• Reliable and trustworthy and be flexible in supporting your colleagues and managers to achieve targets and objectives
• The nature of the work is physically demanding and will involve heavy lifting within H&S requirements
