Warehouse Material Handler

About the position

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to immediately fill Material Handler jobs in Memphis, TN. This position is crucial for the efficient operation of the warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment center. The Material Handler will be responsible for picking required products and verifying items using UPC codes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the order fulfillment process. The role requires the operation of an RF gun during the order picking process, which is essential for tracking inventory and managing stock levels effectively. The Material Handler will spend the majority of their shift walking throughout the warehouse, which necessitates a good level of physical fitness and stamina. It is important for the handler to ensure that all items are scanned into the computer system at the end of the picking process to maintain accurate inventory records. This position is vital for meeting the demands of the holiday season, and candidates must be prepared to work additional days and/or overtime as needed. In addition to the Material Handler role, there are also opportunities available for Forklift Drivers who have at least 6 months of Standup Forklift experience. Responsibilities

• Pick the required products, verifying items using UPC codes

Requirements

• 6 months of warehouse, distribution, production, or manufacturing experience

• Ability to meet physical demands involving extended periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching

• Perform verbal and/or written instructions

• Schedule flexibility to work additional days and/or overtime during the holiday season
