About the position

The Warehouse Associate Manufacturing II position at Southwire Company, LLC is a critical role within the manufacturing process, focusing on the efficient handling of raw materials and finished goods. This position is located at the Villa Rica Plant and operates on a swing shift from 4:50 PM to 5:00 AM. The primary responsibilities include unloading raw materials from incoming trucks, maintaining organized raw material and work-in-progress (WIP) zones, and ensuring the smooth flow of products to and from the warehouses. The associate will also be responsible for loading finished goods onto trucks for shipment, utilizing SAP/Advaris to keep accurate inventory records, and applying the correct printed tags to finished products. The role requires operating a forklift to transport materials and finished products, ensuring safety and compliance with company standards. In addition to the core responsibilities, the Warehouse Associate will engage in cross-training on various equipment within their workgroup, allowing for flexibility and skill enhancement. The position demands a commitment to quality, requiring associates to perform quality checks and report any issues immediately. The physical demands of the job include lifting heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and working in varying environmental conditions, which may include hot and cold temperatures typical of a manufacturing setting. Responsibilities

  • Unload raw materials arriving at receiving docks.
  • ,
  • Set up and maintain raw material and WIP zones.
  • ,
  • Build out loads and coordinate product flow to and from the WIP and finished goods warehouses.
  • ,
  • Load finished goods into trucks for shipment.
  • ,
  • Use SAP/Advaris to maintain up-to-date inventory records.
  • ,
  • Apply the correct printed tag to finished coil packages.
  • ,
  • Operate forklift to transport copper rod coils to proper storage locations.
  • ,
  • Receive and unload incoming trucks with raw materials and packaging.

  • Log information into SAP/Advaris.

  • Maintain housekeeping and orderliness of finished goods and raw material warehouse.

  • Perform quality checks and report quality issues to supervisors.

  • Assist operators in their duties when required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (or willingness to obtain through Pathway to Success program).
  • ,
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge/experience using SAP/Advaris.

  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
