Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Warehouse Lead to oversee the daily operations at our seed production facility. This individual will manage the flow of trucks in and out of the plant, ensuring optimal efficiency and smooth operations. The Warehouse Lead will also play a key role in seed production, customer communication, inventory management, and plant maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse and production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Truck and Logistics Management: Supervise and coordinate all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and efficient processing of trucks at the plant. Monitor truck schedules, manage dock activities, and ensure that vehicles are loaded and unloaded in an organized manner.
Seed Production Operations: Actively participate in seed production processes, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. Oversee the processing, packaging, and storage of seeds, maintaining a high level of quality control and safety.
Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of seed orders. Provide updates on shipments and resolve any customer concerns or issues.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring proper tracking of seed quantities, packaging materials, and equipment. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant teams to order supplies as needed.
Plant Maintenance: Oversee regular maintenance activities to ensure the plant and warehouse equipment are operating effectively. Coordinate repairs and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
