The Digital team focuses on delivering a superior customer experience on petsmart.com and our mobile app. The team also guides revenue and profit growth for the digital business. Digital team associates focus on delivering initiatives that help our pet parents find and discover products, bring enterprise priorities to life digitally, design new user experiences, build new features and capabilities, and manage key omni-channel programs. The team takes a data-driven approach and leverages quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize the experience and make business decisions.
About the Location

Fully Remote Position:

This position is considered to be Fully Remote and work is done from another location outside of Phoenix Home Office (within the United States). Associates that are considered to be Fully Remote do not have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can expect to be asked to travel to Phoenix Home Office several times a year [or more], based on business needs and in partnership with leadership. Associates that are considered to be Fully Remote will acknowledge the “Remote Work Agreement” upon hire.
About the Job

We have an opening available for a Senior Digital Analytics Analyst working on our digital team. You will work closely with the Digital Analytics Manager on enhancing our implementation strategy, driving adoption of advanced analytics techniques across the organization, and leading analysis projects that help answer complex business questions.

It’s best if you are technically inclined, familiar with web technologies, and understand how Analytics and Tag Management tools are implemented. You should have a track record of enhancing a program beyond standard practices. You can wear many hats and have a penchant for explaining complex topics. You will have a strong sense of ownership and can complete your work while teaching others in the process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Forges a Path - establish best practices, teaches others as an advanced GA user.
  • Advanced Analytics– can clean, analyze, and forecast data and their outputs easily.
  • Work to identify and resolve tagging/analytics gaps across all digital channels.
  • Build reporting for a variety of use-cases from a variety of data sources.
  • Implementation– can design requirements, document, and work with IT as needed.
  • Can navigate and validate information in GTM and the dataLayer object.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
  • Hands-on web analytics experience at an advanced level.
  • Can debug web and native applications, and dig into issues as they arise.
  • Be able to clean, analyze, perform basic forecasting, and estimate data easily.
  • Able to prioritize multiple requests and efforts effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Able to demonstrate analytical thinking and expertise outside the GA platform.
  • Can effectively disseminate information at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Able to function effectively in a variety of roles (mentorship, presenting, technical)
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree, quantitative field preferred but not required.
  • 4+ years of digital analytics experience (Google Analytics preferred).
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Advanced user of Excel or Google sheets.
  • Hands on experience in GTM.
  • Proficient with a data visualization tool (Data Studio, Tableau, etc)
  • Knowledge on how to solve implementation tasks for a variety of situations.
  • Ideally familiar with both UA and GA4 architectures and their differences.
  • Experience writing basic Javascript highly desired.
  • Experience with SQL a plus.
