About the position

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed objectives.
  • Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations to improve sales performance.
  • Handle objections and concerns effectively to close sales calls successfully.
  • Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships to achieve win-win agreements.
  • Develop and execute call plans to optimize coverage and frequency to key customers.
  • Continuously build understanding of customer needs, market landscape, and share market intelligence with teams to optimize brand strategy.
  • Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition and maintain relationships with disease state experts and advocates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience required.
  • Proven track record of success in sales and solid presentation skills.
  • Ability to identify customer styles and adapt selling approaches accordingly.
  • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge recognized by stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment and provide innovative solutions to business challenges.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas.
  • Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
  • English language proficiency in verbal and written communication.
