Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

We’re looking for an experienced SDET to join a high-performing engineering team working on a high traffic, large-scale e-commerce platform.

You’ll play a key role in building and evolving a scalable, fully automated testing framework, helping ensure fast, safe and high-quality software delivery. Working closely with engineers, product and stakeholders, you’ll drive quality across web applications and APIs while tackling interesting technical challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and maintaining test automation frameworks (JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Automated and manual testing of web applications and APIs
• Test planning, estimation, execution and defect management
• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborating across teams to improve quality and close requirement gaps

About you:

• Proven experience in SDET or test automation roles
• Strong understanding of testing techniques and the SDLC
• Experience testing web-based systems and APIs
• Excellent communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset

Nice to have:
ISTQB certification, device testing platforms (BrowserStack/LambdaTest), performance testing tools, cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), and exposure to non-functional testing (performance, security, accessibility).

This is a hybrid position – Central London (2 to 3 days a week in office)

£55k DOE plus 10% bonus
