Position Title: Social Media Marketing Officer Part-time - Mandarin Speaking
Salary: from £12.5/hour, with uncapped commission and bonus
Hours of work: Up to 20 hours per week
Location: Office in London and Manchester or Remote
1. Purpose and Scope
TopCourses is a leading international education consultancy, with offices in London, Leicester and Manchester. We are accredited by the British Council, ICEF and UCAS, and we are the official representative for over 100 education institutions. We provide tailored, expert guidance to international students at every stage of their application to schools and universities in the UK.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Marketing Officer with an entrepreneurial spirit to be part of our vibrant, growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or a junior marketing officer who is looking to take the next step in their marketing career.
The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the Chinese social media platform, particularly RedNote, and possess the ability to create engaging and innovative content. This role involves content creation and communication strategies with the aim of growing the audience and capturing convertible leads, as well as showcasing our expertise.
2. Responsibilities
Platform Expertise:
Demonstrate a strong understanding of RedNote and WeChat, staying updated on the latest trends and features;
Develop and implement effective social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
Content Creation:
Conceptualize and produce creative content that resonates with our target audience in different online marketing platforms;
Create visually appealing and compelling videos, images, and written content tailored for RedNote and Wechat.
Daily Operations:
Manage daily operations on RedNote and Wechat, including content scheduling, posting, and engagement;
Monitor comments, messages, and mentions to ensure timely and relevant responses;
Manage online leads via Inbox messaging and conversations.
Analytics and Reporting:
Track and analyse KPIs to measure the success of social media campaigns;
Provide weekly reports on social media performance to the Digital Marketing Manager, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operation, and customer support, to align social media efforts with overall business goals.
Collaborate with influencers and other partners to amplify brand presence on social media.
3. Qualifications
UK Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree;
Proven experience in social media marketing with a focus on RedNote and Wechat;
Familiarity with RedNote analytics tools;
Strong creative and writing skills in Mandarin Chinese with the ability to produce engaging content;
Good knowledge of graphic software, including Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, Illustrator, and social media backend management;
Experience in the international student recruitment industry is preferable
