Job Summary
Are you a creative storyteller who lives and breathes social media? We are looking for a passionate Social Media Assistant to own the planning, delivery, and evaluation of our social media marketing. You will be responsible for creating compelling content that captures the unique energy of our events and resonates deeply with our core communities, including the LGBTQ+ and Latin communities. This role is perfect for someone who is culturally curious, visually creative, and skilled at building online engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Content Planning & Strategy:
- Develop, manage, and execute a detailed content calendar across all key social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc.).
- Collaborate with the marketing and events teams to create bespoke social media strategies for our diverse event programming, including LGBTQ+ events, Garden Events, and Latin parties.
- Brainstorm innovative and authentic content ideas, staying ahead of social media trends and platform updates.
Content Creation & Delivery:
- Create high-quality, engaging, and on-brand marketing collateral, including short-form video (Reels, TikToks), captivating photo stories, and eye-catching graphics using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Write compelling, culturally-sensitive copy that reflects the specific tone and voice of each event and community.
- Schedule and publish all content using social media management tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite).
- Capture content live from our events, showcasing the atmosphere, performers, and guest experience in real-time.
Community Management & Evaluation:
- Act as the voice of our brands online, actively engaging with our community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and positive manner.
- Monitor, track, and report on social media performance using platform analytics, focusing on key metrics such as engagement, reach, follower growth, and click-through rates.
- Provide regular insights on what content is performing well and make data-driven recommendations to optimise future campaigns.

You need to be an outgoing, engaging team worker. Who is passionate about the customer and their experience within the venue. Open to flexible hours.
Entry requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with mobile editing apps (e.g., CapCut) and/or design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express) is essential.
- Exceptional copywriting and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone of voice for different audiences.
- A genuine understanding of, and passion for, LGBTQ+ and Latin cultures, with the ability to create content that is authentic, respectful, and celebratory.
- Based in or able to commute to London for regular on-site work and event coverage.
- Maths and English GCSE at grade C/4
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working within the music, nightlife, or live events industry.
- Experience with paid social advertising campaigns (Meta Ads).
- Basic photography and videography skills using a DSLR or mirrorless camera.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics platforms.

Training to be provided
Content Creator Level 3 Standard
Apprentices learn the skills they need on the job with the guidance of a development coach who is an expert from the industry. You will finish your apprenticeship with a recognised qualification, valuable industry experience, and the opportunity for continued career progression.
