Key Responsibilities:
Deliver end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions, including Lakehouse pipelines and Power BI-ready datasets.
Utilize Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, Synapse Data Engineering, and Synapse Data Warehouse.
Build Silver/Gold (Medallion) data models and prepare Power BI-ready data models.
Transform GA4 BigQuery export data and ingest external APIs/SaaS sources.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data governance and PII handling in analytics platforms.
Key Skills:
Production experience with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, Synapse Data Engineering, and Synapse Data Warehouse.
Strong SQL and Python skills, ideally with PySpark inside Fabric.
Familiarity with Azure data services (ADF, ADLS, Azure SQL).
Experience with web analytics and CMS/CRM data integration.

Contract Opportunity: SME Microsoft Fabric Engineer - End-to-End Delivery
We're supporting a major organisation on a high-impact project that requires an experienced Microsoft Fabric Engineer who has delivered Fabric solutions end-to-end, from Lakehouse pipelines to Silver/Gold medallion models and Power BI - ready datasets.
If you've worked extensively across Fabric's engineering stack and can hit the ground running,
this one's for you.
Location: Remote (UK)
Day Rate: Negotiable
Contract: Short-term engagement with potential extension
You'll need production experience with:
Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse (Delta tables)
Synapse Data Engineering (Spark notebooks)
Synapse Data Warehouse (SQL)
Fabric Data Factory pipelines
Building Silver/Gold (Medallion) data models
Strong SQL + Python (ideally PySpark inside Fabric)
Transforming GA4 BigQuery export data
Ingesting external APIs/SaaS sources (ideally Contentful or similar)
Preparing Power BI-ready data models (fact/dim schemas)
Strongly Preferred:
Familiarity with Azure data services (ADF, ADLS, Azure SQL)
Experience joining web analytics with CMS/CRM data
Understanding of data governance + PII handling in analytics platforms
Nice to Have:
dbt (Core or Cloud)
Experience with modern lakehouse stacks (Databricks, Snowflake)
Background in nonprofit/charity analytics (not essential)
