Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage driver schedules and assignments for overnight shifts. Dispatch drivers to appropriate locations, ensuring efficient route planning. Communicate effectively with drivers via radio, phone, and other communication tools. Track vehicle locations and status in real-time using dispatch software. Respond promptly to driver inquiries, emergencies, and operational issues. Coordinate with clients and receiving facilities to confirm delivery and pickup schedules. Maintain accurate and up-to-date dispatch logs and records. Troubleshoot and resolve any transportation-related problems that arise during the shift. Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations. Generate daily reports on dispatch activities and operational performance. Requirements Proven experience as a dispatcher, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry. Familiarity with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills. Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to handle pressure effectively. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time efficiently. High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is a plus. Availability to work overnight shifts reliably. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and quick decision-making capabilities.
