Registered Nurse Emergency Room | Permanent Role

Location: Irving, TX, 75061
Shift: 12 HR Nights | 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience

Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform thorough clinical assessments and determine priority needs for patients and families.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Modify plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain professional and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Respect patient values while formulating care plans to address clinical concerns.
  • Educate patients, families, peers, and community members to support informed healthcare decisions.
  • Assess learning needs regularly and document educational efforts.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community resources for integrated care planning.
  • Delegate nursing tasks appropriately and follow up to ensure quality care.
  • Apply creative problem-solving strategies with patients, families, and team members.
  • Prioritize patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and efficient care delivery.
  • Engage in teamwork, support colleague development, and contribute to a positive care environment.
  • Demonstrate commitment to community service and continuous professional growth.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong knowledge of nursing care standards, laws, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety guidelines.
  • Proficient in clinical terminology and disease prevention/management practices.
  • Understanding of medication indications and potential side effects.
  • High ethical standards and adherence to patient privacy regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and social skills for collaboration and patient interaction.
  • Critical thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Basic computer literacy, including EMR systems, scheduling, email, and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required)
  • Current RN license (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
