About the position

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with on-air talent before and during the event telecast to provide content support.
  • Create specialty 'spotter boards' with teams, players, player numbers, and positions in collaboration with assigned talent.
  • Conduct research on players and teams to enhance identification of plays during the remote telecast.
  • Monitor the live event closely and provide immediate feedback to talent on player involvement in plays.
  • Communicate pertinent game information silently via spotter boards to on-air broadcast talent.
  • Operate within the context of defined sports remote telecasts' concepts, objectives, and outcomes.
  • Participate in post-production reviews with talent and the Producer.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Inner working knowledge of the sport and the rules of the game.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress, live television environment.
  • Must be able to clearly identify all objects and actions on the field of play.
  • Ability to communicate pertinent game information with on-air broadcast talent with immediacy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior amateur or professional experience within the sports area, potentially as a former player or manager.
  • Knowledge of sports and sports history.
