Quality Engineer – Mobile Apps (iOS/Android)

<p>Halian Technology is seeking a <b>hands-on, technically proficient Quality Engineer</b> for a permanent role with a progressive, product-led organisation building modern mobile experiences.</p><p>We are looking for a <b>UK-based Quality Engineer</b> with recent <b>mobile app team experience</b>, a strong understanding of <b>modern engineering practices</b>, and a coaching mindset. This is not a QA or testing-only role — we\'re looking for a collaborative engineering leader who understands how to build quality into the development lifecycle.</p><p><b>Key Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Proven experience working in <b>mobile app product teams</b> (iOS/Android) within the last 2 years</li><li>Strong understanding of <b>CI/CD</b>, <b>Continuous Testing</b>, and <b>Shift Left/Right</b> principles</li><li>Hands-on technical skills, including <b>TDD</b>, <b>pairing</b>, and experience with <b>observability</b> practices (e.g. logs, metrics, APM)</li><li>Able to coach and mentor developers in testing and quality ownership</li><li>Comfortable working in <b>cross-functional teams</b> embedded with engineers</li><li>Excellent grasp of modern quality thinking — not reliant on test plans or legacy QA processes</li><li>Strong communicator with a history of <b>community involvement</b>, blogs, talks, or event participation</li><li>Demonstrated <b>leadership experience</b> in driving quality strategies within teams</li></ul><p>Please note: you must be UK-based and have the right to work in the UK to be considered.</p><p>Ready to raise the quality bar in modern mobile development? <b>Apply now</b> or get in touch for more information.</p>
