Respond promptly to student inquiries and comments in online forums. Develop and submit weekly lesson plans based on the BHAE lesson plan template, reflecting unit instructional goals. Employ instructional strategies that uphold high expectations, engage adult learners, and honor their diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
Utilize a mix of formal and informal assessment methods to gauge student learning and tailor instruction accordingly. Attend monthly staff and common planning meetings to collaborate and share insights with colleagues.POSITION DETAILS: Class Format: Online via Google Meet Teaching Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:009:00 PM (6 instructional hours per week) Weekly Hours: 15 hours per week, including 6 hours of live online instruction and approximately 9 hours for lesson planning, preparation, student communication, and related instructional responsibilities. Program Calendar: September 1, 2026 June 30, 2027, including 32 instructional weeks and 2 paid staff weeks. Professional Development: 26 paid hours annually.
Hourly Rate: $37.47 per hour.DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred. Massachusetts ABE licensure preferred. Experience teaching adults is preferred.
