Rudy’s Taco Shop | Solana Beach, CA
Rudy’s Taco Shop is looking for a highly organized, hospitality-driven Catering Coordinator to help manage and grow our expanding catering business. This is a mostly remote, part-time opportunity ideal for someone with restaurant, catering, or event industry experience who thrives on building relationships, generating business, and creating memorable guest experiences.
This role has strong upside potential for someone with an established network in the hospitality, corporate, wedding, or events space. Candidates with sales initiative, local connections, or experience developing catering business are especially encouraged to apply.
Position Overview
This role will assist the primary point of contact for catering inquiries while helping keep our operations organized behind the scenes. The ideal candidate has experience with BEOs (Banquet Event Orders), invoicing, scheduling, hospitality communication, and client relationship management.
You’ll work closely with ownership and management to help grow catering sales throughout San Diego County.
Responsibilities
- Work with built in automation systems to help respond promptly to catering inquiries via phone, email, and web leads
- Build and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- Create invoices and organize client payments
- Maintain and update company Google Calendar scheduling
- Coordinate logistics and communicate event details with management and operations teams
- Track leads, bookings, and follow-up communication
- Assist with catering sales growth and relationship-building
- Develop outreach opportunities with local businesses, venues, wedding coordinators, schools, sports organizations, and community partners
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, restaurant operations, or event coordination required
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Experience with BEOs, invoicing, scheduling, and client communication
- Comfortable working independently in a mostly remote environment
- Self-starter with sales initiative and follow-through
- Existing network within hospitality, corporate catering, weddings, or events is a major plus
- Professional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Google Workspace experience (Google Calendar, Gmail, Sheets, Docs)
- Restaurant experience strongly preferred
- Remote availability Sunday preferred

Schedule
