Despite our large size and explosive international expansion, we continue to provide a family atmosphere in which our employees thrive and succeed.</p><p>The Optical Manager will be responsible for overseeing and directing operations for the Optical department and other areas of the warehouse.</p><p>The duties will include:</p><ul><li>Scheduling, developing, counseling, training and directing department personnel.</li><li>Making recommendations for hiring, promotion and termination to Warehouse Manager.</li><li>Reviewing department budget, financial statements and insurance payment records.</li><li>Developing and implementing plans for merchandising, productivity and profitability.</li><li>Observing employee performance and paperwork to ensure that department procedures and standards are followed.</li><li>Implementing and upholding safety and security procedures.</li><li>Approving and submits orders for equipment, product and supplies.</li><li>Coordinating proper maintenance and repairs for machinery and equipment.</li><li>Oversees apprentices as required for certification qualification.</li><li>Overseeing and participating in duties of Licensed Dispensing Opticians.</li><li>Fitting and adjusting eyeglasses, dispensing contacts.</li><li>Assisting with front end duties and other departments of the warehouse where necessary.</li><li>Providing and ensuring prompt and courteous member service.</li></ul><p>This is a full time management/leadership position (45+ hours per week).</p><p>To be suitable for the Optical Manager role you will:</p><ul><li>Hold FBDO Accreditation</li><li>Have management experience - preferred</li><li>Service oriented - experienced in \'going the extra mile\'</li><li>Energetic and familiar with working in a fast-paced environment</li></ul><p>If you would like to join a team where the employees are the best in the Wholesale industry, then please press apply now.</p> #J-18808-Ljbffr
