Medical Assistant – (Part-Time)<br><br>Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM CST<br><br>Location: Remote<br><br>Employment Type: Part-Time<br><br>Compensation: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience)<br><br>Position Overview<br><br>We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Medical Assistant to support a telehealth and care management program in a structured, high-volume outreach environment.<br><br>This role blends traditional Medical Assistant responsibilities with phone-based patient engagement. The majority of the shift will involve outbound patient outreach, appointment scheduling, and documentation; however, candidates must also be comfortable performing core clinical support duties in a remote setting.<br><br>This is not an in-clinic position. The work is conducted remotely and requires strong communication skills, efficiency, and comfort working within defined performance metrics.<br><br>Core Responsibilities<br><br>Patient Outreach & Scheduling<br><br><ul><li>Conduct high-volume outbound and inbound patient calls during scheduled shift</li><li>Schedule Annual Wellness Visits and care management appointments</li><li>Provide professional patient education regarding preventive services</li><li>Meet daily outreach and scheduling performance targets<br><br></li></ul>Medical Assistant Support Duties<br><br><ul><li>Perform medication reconciliation with patients</li><li>Update medical histories, allergies, and preventive care gaps</li><li>Collect and document patient-reported vitals when applicable</li><li>Prepare charts for provider review</li><li>Ensure accurate documentation within the EHR</li><li>Support care coordination and follow-up activities<br><br></li></ul>Compliance & Documentation<br><br><ul><li>Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times</li><li>Accurately document all patient interactions in the EHR</li><li>Escalate clinical concerns to supervising providers as appropriate<br><br></li></ul>What This Role Requires<br><br><ul><li>Comfort making 50–80 patient calls per shift</li><li>Strong phone presence and ability to engage Medicare-aged patients</li><li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, structured environment</li><li>Excellent multitasking and documentation skills</li><li>Professionalism and resilience when handling objections or voicemail-heavy outreach<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Medical Assistant certification or equivalent healthcare experience required</li><li>Prior experience in a medical office, primary care, or care coordination setting</li><li>Prior call center experience strongly preferred</li><li>Familiarity with Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems preferred</li><li>Experience working with Medicare populations preferred<br><br></li></ul>Ideal Candidate Profile<br><br><ul><li>Self-motivated and disciplined in a remote setting</li><li>Comfortable with performance metrics and call volume expectations</li><li>Detail-oriented and clinically accurate</li><li>Reliable and punctual for scheduled shift</li><li>Able to balance patient empathy with efficiency</li></ul>
