<p>This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to gain hands on experience working at all levels with clients and to get involved in many different aspects of HR. You will need to have some knowledge, for example at CIPD level 3 or equivalent, and be interested in becoming a true HR Generalist.</p>
<p>You will be working closely with senior HR professionals and be supported and mentored to grow your knowledge, talent and career, working towards becoming an HR Advisor and/or an HR Consultant with your own clients, depending on your ambitions and skillset. We are ideally looking for a long-term addition to our team.</p>
<p>What to expect working at OneHR<br />
• A very interesting and varied workload, encompassing tasks from the whole employee lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to get stuck in.<br />
• As with all HR, there is a focus on attention to detail and accurate administration.<br />
• It can get fast-paced, and this role will support the two consultants with a variety of admin-based tasks, as well as your own tasks; managing your own workload, and planning & organisation are key!<br />
• We work on two principles: excellent client service, delivered in a timely fashion; and offering expert advice that adds value to our clients.<br />
• We will ensure you are supported with mentoring and coaching so you can learn on the job, in a way that suits you, and thrive.</p>
<p>Key aspects of the role include (but are not limited to):<br />
• Maintain and review Employee Handbooks and policies, in line with UK employment law changes.<br />
• Draft letters, ranging from offer letters, to promotion, to resignation, and everything in between.<br />
• Maintain our clients’ Breathe HR system; and train new starters when required.<br />
• Provide quarterly HR reports.<br />
• Get involved with recruitment, from placing adverts to sifting candidates; and eventually interviewing where required.<br />
• Provide first-line advice to employees and managers on best practice, policies & procedures. This will involve things like calculating holiday allowances, resolving queries, conducting maternity risk assessments and drafting letters.<br />
• Conduct exit interviews and report on trends/data for continuous improvement.<br />
• Salary benchmarking when required.<br />
• Get involved in putting training together; and in time delivering training.<br />
• Attend regular catch-up video calls with us and the occasional in-person gatherings in East or West Sussex.</p>

<p>What will make you stand out as a candidate:<br />
• You will be interested in HR and already have some knowledge, either at CIPD level 3 or above; or in a capacity where you got involved with HR tasks.<br />
• Ability to draft documents and enjoy owning your admin, with accuracy and excellent written English.<br />
• Excellent IT skills with the Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). We use ChatGPT 4.0 to help out sometimes; and any knowledge of other platforms like Google Docs and Canva would be very welcome. If you can recommend other platforms/technologies, we are very open to your ideas.<br />
• Ability to organise and prioritise your workload, so you can keep all your plates spinning.<br />
• Willingness to embrace remote working – it’s not for everyone! You will need your own confidential space and your own equipment.</p>
<p>The Specifics:<br />
• You need to be able to work across the week, Monday to Friday, and during our core hours of 10am to 4pm.<br />
• This role is permanent but initially part-time, 20 hours per week. There is a possibility of growing this to full-time hours at a later stage (37.5 hrs).<br />
• Salary expectations will be discussed at interview, but you can expect a starting salary up to £28,000 pro-rata pa, DOE.<br />
• You will have a 3-month probationary period.<br />
• Contributary pension (5% you; 3% OneHR).<br />
• 20 days annual leave, which grows each year by one day, to a maximum of 25 days (plus the 8 bank holidays).<br />
• Regular catch-ups and feedback.<br />
• All the training and support you need to be great in the role.<br />
• You must be UK-based and already have the right to work here, for a minimum of two years; this role does not qualify for visa sponsorship.</p>
