We generally have shifts that range from 4-8 hours, sometimes NOC's and 12's when they become available. Pay starts at $22, $23 for CNA/HHA and $25 for 4 hour shifts. We service Santa Clara county with most cases being in San Jose, Campbell and Saratoga areas.
Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and compassionate Home Care Aides (HCAs) to join our team for weekend shifts. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient-centered care to seniors and individuals with disabilities in assisted living and home care settings. Your dedication will help promote independence, comfort, and dignity for those we serve while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive patient observation and monitor residents’ conditions regularly
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide Medication reminders
- Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s and dementia care through personalized engagement
- Stand by and safety supervision. Some clients uses a walker or cane for assist. Others need transfers from bed to standing or wheelchair using gait belt or Hoyer lift for bed bound cases.
- Maintain a clean environment by assisting with laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, and general household tasks
- Companionship and socialization. Participating in activities
Skills/Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in home care, nursing homes or assisted living environments with a focus on senior or home health care
- Current Home care Aide registration with the state of CA
- Current TB test
- Skilled in working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease
- Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems accurately for documentation purposes
- Strong caregiving skills including assisting with ADLs, patient observation, and vital signs monitoring
- CPR certification and familiarity with hospice care practices preferred
- Experience with long-term care settings, working with individuals with disabilities or in home & community care environments
