This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about HR, has excellent leadership skills, and is looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity.As a Time and Attendance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of hourly expert Time and Attendance Cast Members who enable accurate time and attendance tracking for 65,000 Functional Hourly Cast Members at Walt Disney World. This position requires a strong and diverse skillset, including the ability to interpret patterns, develop new metrics and processes, and ensure compliance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws and regulations.Key Responsibilities• Lead and mentor a team of Time and Attendance Cast Members to deliver targets and ensure accurate time and attendance tracking• Drive a team to support Operational Leaders, investigate issues, and conduct audits to guarantee precise time-section and record cards have been submitted for the Walt Disney World Resorts hourly Cast Member base• Collaborate with experts and partners across The Walt Disney Company, including Compensation, Global HR Operations, Leave Administration, Labor Relations, HR Information Systems, Legal, Workforce Management, Benefits, and Finance, to ensure that time and attendance rules are being followed• Provide time, pay, and attendance expertise to key partners for policy development and interpretation• Aid in the ongoing training of Operations Leaders and care staff• Participate in projects that improve the level of accuracy and efficiency in recording time and attendance• Identify areas of opportunity for continuous improvements of daily processes to achieve daily objectives• Lead a team to resolve operational issues and risks, escalate and communicate effectively• Project manage small projects and workstreams of large projects, including effective communication and escalation• Regulate and communicate the status of projects and initiatives within scope• Control data and lead accurate analyses for insightsEssential QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as HR, Business Administration, or a related field• Administration of daily operations and mentoring colleagues• Ability to organize multiple work priorities across a team on a daily basis while also prioritizing work to meet a longer-term objective, quickly identify issues, think critically to identify a solution, then resolve with timely action• Ability to analyze, resolve complex issues raised to management for resolution• Ability to lead projects with influence of partners from multiple teams and assist with creativity to approach problems in new, innovative ways• Basic understanding of HR functions like Compensation, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Finance, or HRIS• Ability to lead and prioritize multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment• Ability to work with a multi-functional team and across skill levels• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive, personal data• Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, Slack, Teams, Zoom, and Outlook• Ability to learn new software and adapt to constantly changing work• Effectively work/partner really with all levels of Cast• A flexible work schedule to appear on Saturday or Sunday and holidaysPreferred QualificationsWhile not required, the following qualifications are preferred:• One to three years of Disney Operations Leader experience• Knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements and the Walt Disney Company Employee Handbook• Experience with MY TIME (also known as Infor, Workbrain), Cast Scheduling System (CSS), Pearls, Cast Mobile, EiSS, Zendesk, or SAP• Detailed understanding of work systems including upstream and downstream effects• Experience designing work in large work groups/streamsCareer Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt Disney, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
