<p>We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Nurse to cover a long-term locum assignment within a military setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the dental health of MOD service personnel and work as part of a dedicated team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive clinical and administrative support to the Dental Officer, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dental surgery.</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul style="list-style-type: disc;">
<li>Assist with clinical duties including preparing and sterilising instruments, operating the dental computing system, and processing radiographs.</li>
<li>Manage patient appointments, dental records, and ensure proper documentation of dental prosthetic appliances.</li>
<li>Adhere to infection control procedures and follow Health and Safety policies.</li>
<li>Assist in the central sterilisation area as required.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with GDC (General Dental Council) standards and current legislation.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul style="list-style-type: disc;">
<li>Fully registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).</li>
<li>Valid indemnity insurance with a recognized dental defence organization.</li>
<li>Clinical currency: a minimum of 2 clinical sessions per week over the last 15 months.</li>
<li>Completion of relevant CPD courses (e.g., medical emergencies, safeguarding, radiography).</li>
<li>Current certification in emergency and resuscitation procedures.</li>
<li>Health clearance for Exposure Prone Procedures (tuberculosis, hepatitis, HIV).</li>
<li>Certification in Safeguarding Children and Adults Level 3.</li>
</ul>
