Company Description The Council of International Chambers of Commerce (CICC) is a global platform that connects businesses and professionals to foster communication, collaboration, and cross-border opportunities. Leveraging an international network of corporate leaders, investors, trade organizations, and government contacts, CICC supports projects that enhance infrastructure, systems, and connectivity among member countries.

The organization focuses on economic development, investment promotion, international trade, and financial support, with particular attention to underdeveloped regions. CICC advances these goals through tailored trade missions, international business conferences, sector-focused business rounds, and bespoke events for members. The Council is also developing international headquarters to strengthen on-the-ground networks between public and private institutions worldwide.

Role Description The CEO of CICC will provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the organization, ensuring alignment with its mission to promote international trade, investment, and economic development. This full-time hybrid role is based in Tbilisi, with a mix of on-site presence and some work-from-home flexibility.

The CEO will oversee day-to-day management of programs and initiatives, including trade missions, international conferences, sector-specific business rounds, and member-driven projects.

Responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plans, managing budgets and financial performance, and ensuring effective operations across all departments. The CEO will build and maintain high-level relationships with governments, financial partners, member organizations, and other stakeholders to drive new partnerships and opportunities. The role also involves leading the senior management team, developing staff capabilities, ensuring good governance and compliance, and regularly reporting to the Board of Directors on progress and results.

Qualifications

  • Strong financial leadership skills, including experience in Finance, budgeting, and oversight of funding partnerships.
  • Proven expertise in Operations Management, ensuring efficient processes, program delivery, and organizational performance.
  • Demonstrated ability in Business Planning and Strategic Planning to define, implement, and monitor long-term organizational goals.
  • Experience in Sales and partnership development, with a track record of building memberships, sponsorships, or investment pipelines.
  • Extensive senior leadership experience, ideally as a CEO, Executive Director, or comparable role in an NGO, chamber of commerce, or international organization.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with governments, international institutions, private sector leaders, and civil society actors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking abilities in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Proven experience working in international, multicultural environments and with cross-border projects or trade initiatives.
  • Ability to work on-site in Tbilisi in a hybrid arrangement and travel internationally as needed.
