About the position

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand recipes.
  • Measure and combine ingredients using mixers, blenders, and other equipment to make cookies.
  • Decorate and display the finished product.
  • Test ingredients and finished goods to ensure quality and safety.
  • Greet customers, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Keep records related to deliveries, inventory, and production levels.
  • Assist with special events, catering, or marketing activities.
  • Clean and restock workstation, ensuring all equipment is sanitized.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • IA Food Handlers Permit.
  • Strong communication, time management, and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail for quality inspections.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Willingness to work independently or with a team.
  • Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early mornings and weekends.
  • Ability to work in a warm, fast-paced environment.
  • Punctuality and a solid attendance record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic math experience (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in a bakery or food service environment.
