This is a hands-on design role that requires creativity, attention to detail, and a keen editorial sense.</p><p><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Deliver engaging and high-quality design across online and print formats.</li><li>Ensure visual consistency with<em> The i Paper’s </em>brand identity while producing fresh, professional, and eye-catching layouts.</li><li>Take charge of front-page design on select days, collaborating with duty editors, the Art Director, and production teams to create standout covers.</li><li>Work closely with the audience team to develop compelling digital design assets — including banners, hero images, skylines and other artwork — that amplify our journalism online.</li><li>Provide visual support to the production team, advising on the most effective ways to present editorial content.</li><li>Produce occasional infographics, charts, and data visualisations to enhance storytelling across platforms.</li><li>Adapt and refine templates and graphic elements as needed.</li><li>Report directly to the Art Director.</li></ul><p><strong>Person Specification</strong></p><ul><li>Strong background in editorial design with experience across print and digital.</li><li>Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and experience with content management systems.</li><li>A sharp eye for layout, typography, and image selection.</li><li>A collaborative team player who thrives under deadline pressure and is passionate about journalism.</li></ul><p>This is an exciting opportunity to shape how <em>The i Paper</em> presents its award-winning content to readers across platforms.</p><p><strong>Package Description</strong></p><p>Our benefits package increases the longer you’ve been with us.
