About the position

As an Amazon Fresh Grocery Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering an extraordinary grocery shopping experience for our customers. This position requires individuals who are passionate about customer service, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Your daily tasks will vary based on store needs, and you will be expected to engage with customers, provide product recommendations, and assist with checkout operations. You will also be responsible for preparing fresh food items, maintaining store presentation, managing inventory, and fulfilling customer grocery orders for pickup and delivery. Your responsibilities will include greeting customers and engaging in friendly conversations to understand their shopping needs. You will utilize your product knowledge to offer recommendations and assist customers in making informed decisions. Operating the cash register and assisting customers in self-service checkout lanes will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will handle return processing for in-store and Amazon.com returns, prepare fresh food items such as salads, pizzas, and sandwiches, and ensure that the sales floor is clean and well-presented. Inventory management is another key aspect of your role, which involves unloading product deliveries and organizing the stockroom. You will also be responsible for picking items to fulfill customer grocery orders, ensuring that customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. This position requires flexibility in shift availability, as you may be scheduled for shifts between 4 a.m. and 12 a.m., with the potential for up to 40 hours per week during the training period. Once training is complete, standard scheduling will begin, and you will be compensated for your training hours at the hourly rate specified in your offer letter.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
